The purpose of the E-portfolio is to assist seniors who seek employment or college admission after graduation.
The E-portfolio showcases student work that is collected and documented to show prospective colleges or employers, growth and accountability of individuals throughout their high school years. During the portfolio experience, students reflect upon their own progress and are more aware of their strengths and areas for improvement. The purpose of reflections is to encourage growth. Successful reflection enables self-awareness, personal and professional growth and improved employability practices.
Every April, seniors participate in a "Senior Exit Interview" where seniors are interviewed by business professionals from the community. This process brings relevance to the E-portfolio while providing feedback to students, teachers, and administrators. The E-portfolio program is built to prepare and guide students through the exit interview and after high school. This E-portfolio program can potentially lead exiting seniors to becoming top quality job candidates in the real world.
